Since the very beginning, our marketing strategy has been consistently based on products of our own manufacture. This means international manufacture under our own control. We put this concept into practice with the thread-cutting-tool manufacturer Tom Carrington, a firm with a long tradition. It is an English company that we have been closely working together with since 1984, and that has been a minority partner in Völkel GmbH since 1991. Our partner enterprises in Europe and Asia produce, using Völkel's own machines to our specifications and standards of quality

The whole sales organisation worldwide is, however, exclusively organised via the central stores in Remscheid. This means that here, in the headquarters, we can make sure of the quality of the merchandise and - something that is no less important - the quality of the supply and delivery process. 6.000 different products, encompassing the whole range of thread cutting, are available ex stock - in every shape and size. Practically all international thread standards are in stock in our stores. Since 1996, thread-cutting tools to Japanese standards have also been available from Remscheid.

At present, we export to around 60 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Ozeanien and America. Participation in fairs in Dubai, the Gate to the Gulf and South Africa, as well as the making of exclusive contracts in, among other places, Korea and Singapore, assure our success. Especially the Asiatic market is continually gaining in importance for Völkel. In the medium term, it is intended to achieve 15% of the turnover in Asia.
